If you have an HD tv, HDMI all the way. If you don't, if your TV has an S-Video port, use that. Superior quality compared to composite. My HDTV has input lag so I can't really play on it all to well, so I usually play on my SDTV with the composite cables because I use the S-Video to record on my dazzle. That's only temporary because I just bought a HD PVR.

No, component cables go up to 1080i, I don't think he's talking about that. Composite cables are the SD ones, but they are interchangeable, only difference is they cant got upto HD, They're stuck at 480P. AV = Audio Video cables which is technically right for both types of cables.
