(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I've played CoD a lot on my PS3 and the internet has run flawlessly. But, for some reason, instead of a 3 - 4 bar every game, I always get a 1 - 2 bar. This has only happened once before, and I fixed it, but that same fix didn't work this time. I've also tried running wired, it didn't help at all. It does this with my Xbox aswell so I know the problem isn't with my PS3.

Any idea's on what's wrong?

dude don't complain that people aren't answering your question. you should even be lucky that I choose to answer this.
There are couple reason why this could be happening
1.) Your internet is shitty
2.) The host your playing with lives far away or has a shitty connection.
3.) Stop dling adult content XD but seriously don't torrent , upload or download while playing. This really messes up your connection.

This happens to me sometimes to, the problems are
A) you have really bad internet
B) you are uploading a vid to youtube, or downloading sumthing thats screwing your internet up
C) Bad host

Sorry, just really impatient. It's been doing this for 2 weeks.
1.) My internet is one of the best you can get in probably the US.
2.) It happens on ALL hosts. When I host, everyone else 1 bars.
3.) My sister's bf does torrent a lot. He hasn't done it in a few days though, and it's still messing up. I don't see how this could be a problem.

&& Leacher? How have I leached anything? You obviously don't know what leacher is if you really just called me that.

1) My internet is really good.
2) I'm not using my own computer right now, I'm on my sister's bf's. I don't use his computer much. Plus, I can't even make a video to put on youtube so..
3) It happens on all hosts.

TO EVERYONE READING THIS:

Please look at those above before posting. Those have nothing to do with it. Note: it DIDNT do this before. It only recently starting doing this. It worked fine one day then the next day it started doing what it is doing now.

It's something wrong with your internet then... It happens to me sometimes to, and my internet is pretty good

That's the thing though. It does this for my Xbox & PS3, but not my Computers. That's why I came and asked this question cause it has really confused me the past 2 weeks. Not to mention, sometimes when I attempt to play, the internet shuts off for everyone in the house.

Wow, then that beats me. The only I can think of, is somethings probably wrong with your internet. Whats the company that is supplying you the internet?

something is wrong with your connection, obviously. if none of those methods work, then you will have to go in your router and put your IP in DMZ. you've probably already done that, but your PS3's IP probably changed. So, run it wired in a different port -> go look to see what your IP is on your playstation (System settings) -> Put that IP in DMZ.

I call everyone under the post of 50 a leacher. I was a leach but too but now im a Chili Cheese fry so dont trip XD.
1.) goto speedtest.net or maybe you have to many computers, laptops, psp(s), consoles, even ipods connected to your internet.
2.) hmm are you sure your host in those games because when I get host (I have shitty internet) I tend to have a 4bar & everyone has rather 4-2 bars.
3.) Even if you are not downloading your torrent program could be uploading which makes you internet lag up.
Also side note things like streams media off the internet also makes your internet lag maybe that could count as a reason.

XD another side note I forgot who but a commentor on you tube said something about limiting your friends list to only good friends & people you play with a lot since in Black ops it always is updating what your friends are doing so it cause you to lag.

I have Cox High Speed Internet. It's not known by many, I'm pretty sure it is specific only to either the east coast or VA, NC, etc..



I have already put it in DMZ. I have also forwarded all the needed ports. I have made a static IP for my PS3 so it can't change.

1) I've had over 5 devices running on my internet at once, and I 4 barred on every host, including mine. (My PS3, Moms Laptop, Stepdad's Laptop, Sister's Laptop, Sister's BF's laptop).
2) I do 4 Bar every time I host, all other players 1 bar.
3) Does the torrent program upload things by itself? Because me nor my sister's bf upload anything via torrent manually.
