To be honest, I didn't really hear many people complaining about the security before the PSN was hacked. It wasn't their number 1 priority as they had no reason to worry about it at that moment in time, and neither did we. You only learn from experience in my opinion.
But they "figured" it would never get hacked. So they never took the time to update it. They were cocky thinking
"oh we're sony and we are so big and bad no one will hack us".....look what happened.
Whatever they "figured" wouldn't happen to their network, did. And they could have at least made it a bit more
difficult for the hackers by updating the security system, which was already YEARS behind everyone else.
P.S: Sony is a multi-billion dollar company. PSN isn't the only thing they sale. So this barely put a dent in their fortune. You know how it takes to make a video game....
