can i stay on 1.11 on mw2 ... i was told if you update then swap the patch back to the 1.11 one then it would work just kinda laggy

how hard is it to bypass all the updates to stay on 3.55

Your best bet for finding a retail PS3 with a firmware 3.55 or below is going to a store that doesn't sell many.
Ex: I bought a TV from Conn's(small electronics chain in TX/Lousiana and others). I have to make my payments every month in store, again a small chain.
They have had the same 4 ps3's in the case for 8 months I have been paying on the TV. I gaurantee they have lower than 3.55 on them.

$299 just like everywhere else, just no one thinks to buy one there.

I would bet that any you buy at Best Buy/Wal-Mart/Gamestop are 3.56 at least.

Question 3: Not really hard but your taking a big risk. Imagine getting banned as soon as you bought your Ps3.
