I bought a new dualshock 3 controller because my old stopped working wirelessly. But this new one has the same issue! I tried resetting it but it still does the same thing. I plug it the controller, it blinks twice and shuts off. I don't think its the wire because it charges my Sixaxis controller just fine. Am I doing something wrong or do I have to get a new one?

If you bought it from somewhere like Gamestop or somewhere that allows a 7-30 day return, then just go back and return it for a new one. If not, then reset the controller. Then leave it charged for a long time. Turn off the Ps3 and try to turn the Ps3 on with the new controller you bought. This only happens to me when I'm low on battery, and if I run out of battery, I can leave it in there for 30000000 years, but if I don't turn the system off and back on, the controller wont connect. It's weird.

Sorry for your bad luck man. This could have been an issue with maybe the PS3 or something. I would call Sony and let them know you and some other people have been having the same problem. Especially, I would take it back and get my money back. All the best man
ive had that problem with a newly brought controller aswell i ended up taking it back to the store but i wish i knew about the reset button on the back sounds like a good idea
