Post: can you tell me if sony will replace/fix my ps3 even if....

IT IS UNDER WARRANTY AND I HAVE THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT FROM WHEN I BOUGHT IT 5 MONTHS AGO.I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF THEY WILL REPLACE OR FIX IT(if not then $300 wasted =[).

i was wondering if ps3 would replace my ps3 because there was a lightning storm where i live and my ps3 was shut off as my power was cut off by the outage, and ever since i haven't been able to get past this black screen saying i should restart my ps3 to make it work and it says if not that then i have to re-install the latest update. i have done both several times and they have not worked....when restarting it just brings me back to the same black screen and when i try to install the latest update it says "error:8002F19A".i have even tried using safe mode and ive done every possible solution using safe mode as well( link to safe mode instructions i followed You must login or register to view this content.) Heres a link to the play station site that told me directions of what i should do for the black screen, to give you a better idea of whats wrong. You must login or register to view this content.

im just wondering under the terms of conditions because i guess it was an "outside source"(the power outage) that made the ps3 not work instead of defective materials although given the directions on the site it should have work so maybe it WAS a defective workmanship.

when i bring it in to the store to get another one, wont they just hook it up to check if it actually freezes or not? =/

-.- no thats what you tell sony when u call them..... no the store if u have the warenty then go to the store and figure something wrong with it i dont if they will hook it up and look for the problem but worth a try if didnt work then the only option is phone sony and tell them what about gta iv freezing they wont check it and will send u a new ps3
