Once upon a time...

NextGenUpdate

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); When trying to update my ps3 I use a usb. FAT32 folders ps3-UPDATE and all of that. Then when updating Through safe mode I get the Data is corrupted (8002F2C5) everytime i try to update from 3.41 to 3.55. I have never jailbroken my ps3 and I have downloaded the firmware from several different websites. Please Help

i had the same problem you have to have the official 3.55 firmware from sony and then you have to jailbreak it with the custom firmware

Are you currently on 3.41 CFW? or have you used a JB USB stick on your stock 3.41? If so, do a fresh reflash of 3.41OFW. Then upgrade to 3.55.

If that doesn't work, follow the instructions in this thread, but use 3.41

I am not using jailbroken 3.41 just 3.41 OFW. But I try to update and it reaches 77 percent or so then the error occurs.
