Final Fantasy X remake got announced and I was just wondering what you guys think of it?

I'm sure it will probably just become a remastered games! but yeah, is anyone else excited for this?
One of my favourite RPG's of all time and I for one am extremely excited, No news on a release date but it's also going to be available on PSVita so Im guessing early next year?

I enjoyed this back in the day but purchase decision will be dependent on the trophy list lol

Haha well you should get it anyway, even if the trophies are hard it will be enjoyable at the same time! I think there probably will be some awkward trophies though like. Defeat all the dark aeons & Pennance.. Collect all Celestial (I think thats the word) weapons.. Maybe get Tidus to level 100 in Blitzball! no one knows! but they are bound to be hard some of them haha!

EDIT: if there even was 100 levels in Blitzball I never got high levels in blitzball!

Yeah I'll most probably get it at some point but maybe not initially. I remember having lots of fun with blitz all though even though I was never able to master it. But maybe this is my second chance lol.

Blitzball was amazingly fun when you got to the point in the game where you could sign different players who were free.

I remember embarrassing teams with Jecht shot all the time! xD Sphere shot was also amazing! I think the release of this game gives everyone the second chance option to get it back! and for all the people that have wanted to play it the chance themselves!

I'm hoping this will sell well so eventually they'll release FF7 in HD lol.

Hopefully bro! I need something FF7 related even if it's another movie! I reckon they do a FF7 movie that is the actually FF7 journey if that makes sense hahaha

For me personally FFX was one of the worst in the entire series right along with 12, and 8 isnt far behind. I did not like the characters, storyline, gameplay.... I know alot of people like this one the best but I really dont see how it even fits into the series at all, could have been made as a separate game with a new title. I will probably play this just for the trophies but I really wish they would have remade a different one, I much more enjoyed FF9, and of course FF7 which will be completely remade instead of remastered but still! A FF7 remaster would be better and with trophy support for defeating all of the weapons would be really fun IMO. Just my opinion.

I dont think I completely agree with you about FF8.. I personally loved it but that's just me! and yup I suppose it's not the best game in the series but no doubt it is fun.. Even if it didn't have the name Final Fantasy X and something completely different I would of brought it either way.. Im also a trophy hunter.. and would be willing to spend alot of time on getting this one done.. I agree with you on the FF7 remaster.. but I dont think they will do one. That's just me, no matter how much we beg and all the stuff. Realistically if we wanted a complete remaster of the original with everything put back in how everything was.. it would take along time and a lot of money! But none the less if it ever did get announced I think everyone in the world would possibly pick up a copy as it has been called the best game ever created by many.. so people that are not even fans could pick it up.. not 100% sure they would but it's a possibility.. That's just my opinion haha!

I am pretty sure they are actually actively working on a FF7 remake. Its not something they want anything to leak about but its also not something they want to miss out on a huge amount of ca$h money for either. They WILL remake it its just a matter of when it will be released and on what platform. If you remember they remade the first part of the game up to about the train scene to showcase the PS3's graphics a while ago. Im sure this was just the beginning of their work on a remake. I would love to have some Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross with trophy support those are two of my other favorite games ever. FF8 was just not my cup of tea. Didn't like the gun blade idea, or Laguna, or Seifer for that matter. I think it was kind of the beginning of the "neo-punk era" for the Final Fantasy series for lack of a better term. After FF8 with an exception of FF9 (which was a pleasant throwback to older FF's) all of the games have had a feminine main character, if not an actual girl (FFXIII) and all involve guns (I hated Barrett in FF7 btw) and other futuristic type nonsense that I never really grew fond of. Shoot I guess all that really started with FF7 but I may be too much of a fan boy of it to really admit that I played FFXI online for a few years and I enjoyed that it brought me into the world of MMO's where of course I eventually ended up playing WoW for a few years. I just dont like the new pop punk Final Fantasys very much, I like old school warrior and mage stories about crystals and not a young persons emotional journey haha. I guess they seem too Emo for me? Just my thoughts... some other RPG's I really enjoyed were Star Ocean, Tales of Destiny, Breath of Fire series... My all time fav is Chrono Trigger for sure tho, and FFVII a close second.
