My fourth PS3, yes you read that correctly, FOURTH PS3 decided to stop working completely and die. I got the Yellow light of death for the fourth time in just over 4 years. I rang and emailed Sony demanding a PS3 that doesn't fxcking break otherwise i'll be purchasing a console from there main competitors in Microsoft. I wrote the Chief executive of Sony a stinking email, blasting his polices/warranties, everything you can think off, I slaughtered him for.
The second time my PS3 broke, I contacted the same guy, and he said "the issue was ongoing on numerous consoles around the world, and the problem will be resolved as soon as possible"- something along those lines. Now, He sent me a sparkling new 80GB PS3 and there was no trouble with it, Until Friday. When the bitch got the same problem and YLOD on me.
Now, This guy got another stinking email of me, in which I blasted him With his own quote, scaring the shit out of him, and making me look like one of those sad men that actually read there whole policy thing. I received a PS3 slim + controller and a $50 PSN code this afternoon; Something I was very pleased about.
However, MW3 was still in my 80GB skidmark of a PS3. I contacted somebody at Gamestation, and he told me a very useful trick on how to extract your disc (With YLOD) without unscrewing/completely opening your PS3.
This only works on the 60GB and 80GB but nonetheless it works...
Step 1: Turn your PS3 off by the power source (button at the back lol)
Step 2: Hold the eject button for 6-8 seconds
Step 3: Whilst holding the eject button, turn your PS3 on by the power switch
Step 4: Your PS3 system should sound furious, blasting air out of every pocket possible.
Step 5: Your disc comes out all happy
Step 6: Your PS3 rage quits and commits suicide after 7 seconds, so get that game out quickly.
Win Win! New Slim PS3, New controller & I got MW3 out of my 80GB skidmark!
If this has been posted I apologise, if you knew this, I'm sorry don't chew my head off, I'm trying to give a bit of advice to those who might of/may possibly have this problem. :dunce:
