Im asking this because allot of users created allot of accounts which are hardly used, if they could lets say do something about that wouldnt that be awesome? that way people could use the OG names that other created and just left to collect dust...

I bet that is what they will do. Allow users to still play PS3 games on the new system but also play PS4 games. I'd bet anything that they would have a filter set for accounts that have no money added to their wallet, that have not logged on within a year and such and that they would probably send out a message to everyone who meets what they have for being deleted to sign in to not be deleted.

I'd bet more than half of the total database would be cleared because of that.

I hope they carry over accounts, deleting old inactive accounts would be ok by me but they should probably email every account about the issue and give them the option to reserve their name for PS4. They should also create some type of database with all the old users and statistics. They should create a new trophy system for PS4 games but continue the current trophy system for ps3 games aswell(the ps3 one would be more hidden I suppose). Maybe they should carry over our wallet balance too? Idk we will have to see what happens when the release is closer.

I think a network upgrade would be of good use.. but to keep the accounts and collections of trophies would be a major plus

if i were sony, id just build off of what they have. it's great but could use some changes.

More free apps, party chat and able to change your name obviously at a low cost.
