Im asking this because allot of users created allot of accounts which are hardly used, if they could lets say do something about that wouldnt that be awesome? that way people could use the OG names that other created and just left to collect dust...

Most likely what they will do, if they did do a new server they will lose a lot of people because there are a lot of people that base their accounts off of trophies. New server without that means new accounts and nothing so years of hard work to waste.
I think what they will do is send out emails to all accounts that have been inactive for 365 days and give them a 1-3 months to respond and if they don't they will be deleted, now with the requirement that they have, let's say, never bought anything from the psn and have no cash on them and or have less than 50 trophies or < rank 2.

Not saying this is a bad idea, but if they did do this, wouldn't your old PSN ID
eventually become that "account that is hardly used...that was left to collect dust?" :dumb:
Like I said I really like the idea and I hope with their next console they revamp the network
as well. A fresher network with a new console would be great. Who knows what changes
the future of PSN will bring?
