I got a 60gb ps3 and I was on cod 4 when I got a message and pressed the PS button. Oh Look My PS3 Has Crashed! Great! So I turned the PS3 Off at the BACK! Turned it back on and just a black screen =[ After a lot of trying and different wires and tvs and rebooting etc but after about 30 seconds the ps3 freezes and loads of coloured dots and lines come up on the screen :mad:

Ive bought a new hardrive but I aint got It yet(its On the way,Bought it off ebay) Do you think this will solve the problem?? Any Help Is MUCH appreciated! Ta:cool:

I would advise putting it elsewhere than a floor. As you see when the fan is on, itll suck up dust and shit thats lying around. I would guess that theres dust and stuff inside it. Either clean it out or send it to sony. Do you still have a warrenty?

you might have short circuted the motherboard or somesort of switch or something by turning it off at the back or your hdmi cable is faulty, the port on your tv is faulty or your ps3 hdmi port is faulty, but you would be better sending it back to sony but if you have already fiddled about with it and installed a new harddrive then you have broke your warranty and they wont do anything about it so right now your fxcked!

I didnt even install the new hardrive. I didnt get that far and it froze with dots and lines!

If you didn't even install the new hard drive, how do you know it wouldn't work? Use common sense.

you have to do a full systen restore.
hold dow n the close button for 10sec
lısten for 3 beeps

It didnt get as far as intalling and it froze! I will try and install it now^
