I got a 60gb ps3 and I was on cod 4 when I got a message and pressed the PS button. Oh Look My PS3 Has Crashed! Great! So I turned the PS3 Off at the BACK! Turned it back on and just a black screen =[ After a lot of trying and different wires and tvs and rebooting etc but after about 30 seconds the ps3 freezes and loads of coloured dots and lines come up on the screen :mad:

Ive bought a new hardrive but I aint got It yet(its On the way,Bought it off ebay) Do you think this will solve the problem?? Any Help Is MUCH appreciated! Ta:cool:

Try holding the power button it will beep for when u turn it on and if you keep holding it it shall beep a second time, this reboots the display for the ps3, it happens to me when ever i take my ps3 to my friends he has a standard tv i have HD so i do that and it seems to work for me, just a thought give it a go and i wish you luck .

Thanks for the luck but ive tried that! I got onto the XMB the other day but it froze with dots after a while
