The PlayStation Network will undergo routine maintenance later today (January 19).
Sony has confirmed that the network will go down between around 4pm and 5pm GMT (8am and 9am PST).
It will then resume service at 5am GMT on January 20 (9pm PST on January 19), lasting a total of 12 hours.
Users will not be able to access the PlayStation Store, account functions including management and registration, PlayStation Home or the network's Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited services during the maintenance period.
"Users who are already signed into their account on PlayStation Network before the start of the maintenance should be able to stay signed in to their online session, but will not be able to access any of the services [taken offline]," said communications chief Patrick Seybold.
"Users who attempt to sign in to their PlayStation Network account after the start of the maintenance may be presented with the site maintenance notification page if they haven't signed in recently."

haha guys wanna know something funny if you ever want a ps3 updated firmware just say you have jb for the newest firmware and spam it and sony will keep working there asses

Lol do the same thing when my internet is down. And since my friend works night patrol on campus we actually hooked our xboxes up in the conference room once and played mw2 there awhile ago when the power was out in the whole city more or less except on campus lol.
