My proof came directly from Sony, they have had over 1 million systems going in for repairs in just the past 2 weeks. I own PS3 systems and they both crashed within 2 weeks of each other. The cause so far is the latest 2.41 update. Here is what happened to both of my systems;
1) system logs you out of the network.
2) turns it self off in the middle of a game.
3) changes ports in your router and changes IP addresses.
4) games & movies don't load.
These are just a few of the problems I have had to deal with, and Sony will not officially say that their updates have anything to do with it, but you tell me WTF is happening? If you ask me they ( Sony ) wants the systems to crash so you have to sent it in for repairs or better off come up with another $600.00 plus tax and buy a new PS3 system. So in closing call Sony @ 1-800-345-7669 an ask them for answers.
