(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); How do I change my NAT type? It is currently at strict, and it wont let me join some of my friends matches. It's weird because some friends I can join, and some I can't. Anyway, if anyone knows how to change my NAT type, please let me know Upside Down Happy

Try restarting your modem or router? :p

If your NAT type doesn't improve after restarting your router/modem, you'll just have to accept the fact that your connection just probably sucks.

Try port forwarding on your router , if its happening on mw3 try going to the mw3 website, they actually have a section on how to port forward on different routers.
Please note you can port forward on any game , i just chose mw3 as an example.

Strict NAT means that you have a shitty internet connection.

What type of router do you have? Try putting your PS3 on DMZ or something. I also heard about a method on where you enter your MW2 disc and eject it and then quickly put in MW3. Don't know if that method works though.

I have a linksys E1000. How do I put my ps3 on DMZ? And I have a good internet connection, better than my other friend whose nat type isnt strict...so thats obviously not the problem.

For Linksys, try this:

I have a Verizon router, so my methods will most likely differ and won't help you at all. There are a lot of tutorials on how to get an Open NAT with a Linksys router on PSN and/or Xbox. Good luck :y: and hope I helped.

All the dumasses above saying that if you have Strict NAT not necessarily means that you have a shitty internet connection. Call your ISP and have them Bridge your connection, Problem Solved.
