What I think is they should just keep adding things on to the ps3 to make the store etc... better. I and loads of other people collect trophies on the ps3 and I would hate to have to loose all that hard work and dedication to get them trophies and of course the trophy section on this website would have to change probably because alot of people will be moving over to the ps4.

Sony have great games and should just keep making amazing games for the PS3.

Well, if Sony holds true to what it said, the PS4 shouldn't be out until 2016 or so. Which honestly, can be taken in two
different ways. 1) It means that they want to keep the PS3 alive and extend its life as much as possible. This means that
consumers don't have to worry about spending money on a new console just yet. And 2) Every day technology advances even further.
Eventually, a PS4 is going to come out no matter what in order to keep up with that technology. It's just a matter if it is released
sooner or later.

I still don't see the point in keeping alive for to much longer. I want party chat, I also want new direct x, I want an ease on developers backs for game creation instead of Sonys current high learning curve coding environment, 2 company's have already admitted to the fact that the PS3 will not be able to handle some games they want to develop. At the price of what they could accomplish all these feats for they wouldn't need to spend much more than the current system cost now and could easily make a profit at at a much lower price than the original ps3 launch. I also don't care if I do or don't have the money personally for a new system (I don't currently doesn't matter though still want to see a new system much sooner rather than later.) Also for the sake of Sony's health as an electronics industry they need advancement.

i dont as ive had my ps3 for like 2 years now and i dont really have money to spend on a new console if they release it

I would have to say they should most def keep going with ps3 and adding on as you said before unless your able to transfer your trophys to ps4 and your gamercard because i know most people here do not feel like restarting on all their trophys.

I think they shouldnt and just keep adding on to the ps3

my opinion is it'll be out in mid to late 2013 at the earliest, and i hope it allows us to carry our psn/sen accounts over to it (would be silly not to).

it will definately not be online only, and it wont have a preowned game lock out!

According to TheGUNNShop only a couple years left in current gen. systems (PS3/Xbox 360/Wii) and the logic makes sense; change is good.
