Replace the fan with a 19 blade if its the fat model and give the cpu/gpu a thermal change, worked fine for me, my fans only get to level 1 now. they used you sound like a jet taking off

use the arctic 5 silver paste :y:

How do you know its over heating? Is the PS3 pushing super hot air out of the back? Is there a message coming up on the screen saying PS3 will shut down as its overheating?

no the fan goes on the highest then i turn it off so it doesn't break. and it when i open the ps3 the screws to unlock the heatsink and the metal board gets wayyy to hot!
