(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys!

I have a hacked Ps3. And I used the same account on my Ps3 and Ps4.
So after this new update of sony 4.70 I got back online on my Ps3. Hacked some Gta v had some fun. But then I got a mail a few hours after I went offline saying that I was console banned on my Ps3. Alright I know thats the risc of hacking...
But then I went on my Ps4 and I saw that the same account was banned on there... so I lost my 50 euro Ps+ there and all my gameplay on Gta v and dying light... So I want to warn all of you to not play on a hacked Ps3 with the account of the Ps4 it costed me alot of money... lost 2 accounts with alot op map packs and other stuff. maybe 300 euro or more.

Just telling you guys my story, yes I deserved it I know but be carefull!

You must be kidding right?
If everyone stole games, where would the game data and fixes be for your pirated games? How would they come about?
Also, if game developers were no longer supported by the community (R*'s GameSpy counterpart) game servers and titles would cease to exist. Example, Midnight Club. Being a Greatest Hits PS3 Classic still wasn't enough to keep Midnight Club: Las Angeles CE online due to excessive modding/game sharing/pirating.

...mini rant over... stare

I got banned today, too. I did everything as perfectly as I could. I blocked certain URLs with Charles. I also disabled CFW sycalls, cleared history e.t.c before even enabling internet. I'm so pissed :P

Id say legally sony owe you compensation. because believe it or not, the ps3 was miss sold in that it could also run a users custom firmware. which they dropped and removed the ability to install other os.

so in essence the ps3 was sold as being able to run "jailbroken" (for a better word) os / software.

they owe us all this.

and OP now they owe you all that you paid for aswell.

Its probably time fony were held accountable and a law suit regrettably will probably be the only way.

op you could get the ball rolling with a small claims court case.

I don't think you even understand what pirating means.

Pirating is the act of specifically selling a copy of copyright works.

I really doubt anyone here actually pays for a bootleg blueray copy of any ps3 game, in fact id be willing to bet they all downloaded it legally because they didn't pay anyone for it.

Copyright does not legally cover the act of duplicating and sharing freely.

You are all being bluffed about this law.

Now as far as theft is concerned, the moment they, be it R* in this case, sold the first copy of their copyrighted works and they released this into the public domain. Thus, legally unless you broke into a warehouse and took off with a blue ray copy no theft has occurred and if someone wants to cry about how their product is being copied then its simply tough. Don't want it copied then keep it private.

If they want to ban someone access to a free service , fine that's legal, they can do what they like. But, on the other hand if you paid for something you are due what you are owed and no amount of small print will stand up in court. Because technically removing the ability to use something you paid for is theft.

So what you're saying, please correct me if I am wrong. Is that one person can purchase a game and therefore obtain rights of use to that game and then another may use that same right but in the form of a copy? How is that not piracy?

I mean you danced around the definition of it yourself in your last comment. But to clarify You must login or register to view this content. maybe this will help.
Have I ever pirated something? Yes, in fact most of my collection is not actually my own copy of the game. Therefore, I pirated it.
Because it was not authorized for duplication it is a pirated copy.
Peer to peer duplication and sharing is still a form of piracy whether or not currency is involved is irrelevant.

its not piracy because the person didn't sell the copy

that's it. simple. that's the law.

however the industry has convinced public that copyright also applies when you copy without paying for it eg downloading.

this is not the case.

you are using the term pirated incorrectly. as most people, it seems, now do.

Currency is highly relevant because that's the law, why don't you actually look up the law yourself and not rely on second hand information.

and whether you think its right or wrong to be able to freely copy someone else's work, that's irrelevant. because an opinion of something doesn't change the law.

but what does change the law is ignorance and one day they will make it so that copyright applies even when no sale has occurred, because people are too ignorant to understand the real law now and it wont even be televised.

and i didnt dance around the definition. maybe you lack the skills to understand what i said.

i don't know what your country is, but in the UK its not illegal if you don't pay for it. either way its not illegal to buy anything counterfeit, its illegal to sell it, the crime is committed by the seller not buyer.
