Here's my save for grand theft auto 3. It contains the trophy mentioned in the title.
You must login or register and the post to view hidden content.
If You Ain't Cheatin', You Ain't Tryin' - Blow up 2,000 cars.: Just destroy another vehicle to unlock the trophy.
Maybe more trophys will be unlocked. I did not check that.

@Eisvogel: You're right, and I'm sorry. I somehow copied the wrong save and not the one where you only have to do the last mission to reach 100%. Unfortunately I don't have the right save anymore. 
Please try to do some side mission (telephone mission, toys mission or something) and give feedback if the trophy will be unlocked. Thank you.
If it doesn't work, I have to rewrite the title of the thread.

Hopefully the RC Toys missions would trigger it. Those are insanely short and quite easy too as long as you don't blow yourself up.

The last mission (The Exchange) is in Shoreside Vale. Look for the "C" for "Catalina".
There is no "C" in Shoreside Vale..The Statistic tell meGame Progress in Percent: 100.... So its already finished..
I copied the Save when I was before the last mission and did everything else. I will download the game again and test the Save.
Damn, but anyway thanks for fast response!.. Ill try a Side Mission today, ill let you know if it works. Regards

Didnt worked for me, tried to finish side Mission, 100% didnt pop.
Also taxi drive unlocked it.. too bad.
