(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Thank you, PlayStation India.

According to several reports, including one from a You must login or register to view this content. and one from You must login or register to view this content., the You must login or register to view this content. briefly listed a page for PlayStation 4 that included a model (250GB hdd) and a price.

That price was €399 which would probably mean a $400 price tag in the US and around £350 here in the UK. That’s for what we assume would be the basic model, with the smallest hard drive size. Expect a higher price for a larger hard disk, that fancy new PSEye camera array and perhaps a Move controller bundled in with it. Perhaps we’ll also see a nice PS4 and Vita bundle, too.

The page has since been removed but there are enough corroborating reports to indicate there’s some truth to this (although screengrabs next time, gents!)

Thanks, You must login or register to view this content.

Personally i hope there is a 1TB HDD option 250gb is nothing nowdays. hopefully thats just a cheap/basic version. but for all we know it could be fake.

^_^ Remember it may not be a straight convert when it comes to pricing from one place to another.
If that true looks like Sony has been taking notes.

Hmm... I was hoping £299 for the base model, that would be an excellent launch price for the PS4.

I second this! I was also expecting the base model to have maybe 500GB and the upper models anywhere from 1.5 - 4 TB.

As long as the memory is still up-gradable I guess no big issue; besides the high price.

I think even 1TB is excessive for a games console, unless you have a shit-ton of movies on there at the same time.

A-lot of digital games.. used to have a fair amount of music also.. I prefer digital, especially if they are cheaper than the physical copy.

I suppose, but say you have 20 digital PS3 games averaging 10GB, 20 PS2 Classics averaging 3GB (to be honest I can't find 20 PS2 "classics" on the store that I'd want to buy) and 20 PS1 Classics averaging 600MB.

That's not even 300GB you've used, and that's an excessive amount of games at 1 time as it is, but just an example :p

True, but you have to account for the fact that the OS will take up some memory. For example on my 320GB slim I only have about 290-298GB available; at the moment I have roughly 60GB of space left (without my music). I've got nearly a full GB of game saves on the cloud and that is only 3 Assasian Creed 3 saves, 3 Far Cry 3 saves, and one Midnight Club save.

So I guess the listed size is good for base model then.
