(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); PS4 and Xbox One pre-orders on Amazon UK are almost neck-and-neck, according to the online retailer, with Microsot’s console nudging ahead by just 2.3% sales.



In a press release sent to VG247 this morning Amazon UK confirmed that Xbox One pre-orders are already 20% higher than Xbox 360 orders were before the console launched in 2005.

Xavier Garambois, VP of retail at Amazon EU, said of the PS4 and Xbox One stats, “It’s not clear yet which of the two will have the edge when they launch later this year – what’s certain, though, is that fans are already excited about how the next generation of consoles will change the world of gaming and home entertainment.”

Ketu Patel, head of video games at Amazon UK added, “Both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are set to have a huge impact, not just in terms of cutting edge games but also as part of the way in which families enjoy home entertainment.

“It will be fascinating to see how the battle between the two console giants develops over the coming months – the fight for who’s going to be the must-have Christmas present is only just beginning.”

MS payin there way to leadership its disgusting.

Xbox one is digging there own grave with all the mistakes.
All I can sayis that I see everyone that's from microsoft changing over to PS4.
Then again, that's my opinion.

I think alot are waiting for the E3 to be finished, I do believe thing will change very fast after that ^^

Just after watching Microsoft E3 there and it was disappointing the games was not really exciting. (My Opinion). I may like Playstation But there E3 is always better more exciting there intro to start it is always good. I myself will be getting a PS4.

Opinion and preference how you died today.

I must give Microsoft a point because they did better in the E3 than in the Conference in April. But, the best comes last and I'm just here waiting to hit the night so I can see the new PS4 and how it will rip away all the excitement from Xbox fanboys.
I also find disgusting and of poor moral and ethics to buy you way to the "top" if you want to call it that way. Eventually, they will lose. It all depends on what happens tonight mainly and in the upcoming months.

i think microsoft will win simply because of 3 main factors:

1. Too many Xbox fanboys/girls
2. Kids love the name "Xbox" and you'll find most kids aged say 12 and under will go Xbox
3. Xbox is aimed at splash marketing and trying to cater for everyone and isn't specific to the Gaming community.

In short, Ps4 is for REAL gamers, of which are people who were born in the 80's-90's era when Playstation dominated the industry, now a days its not appealing to kids as kids love kids stuff like halo and stuff, fact is your Xbox fanboys and base customers are likely to be 10-17 year olds who their mates will buy Xbox simply because their friends are on it and they can play together, not because its the better console (because we know that isn't true).

Xboxs tactics are to entice kids with "microsoft points" and "GamerScores" and fluffy cheap shit to make kids desire it more, naming things like Microsoft "GOLD" is more attracting to kids than "Playstation plus" even though Ps+ is worth its values 5x more than paying twice to play online with Xbox.

The Ps4 fanbase is built up of older more grizzled gamers who are brand loyal and wouldn't make the switch even if it killed them because they are true gamers and prefer the gameplay, games and exclusives that come with the Sony branding.

I've managed to convert 5 die hard Xbox fanboys to Ps3 and they've loved the switch and can't understand why they liked Xbox. the fact of the matter is, if sony wants to win this console war it has to attract that "kiddy" area of the market (which us true gamers wouldn't like at all as i'm sure we'd prefer it if screaming 6 year old faggits playing rap music down their mics stuck with their shitboxes).

TLR Xbox has younger fanbase which is more than Playstations gaming community fanbase, Xbox has customers from age 6-22 whereas Sony has majority of customers aged between 16-30.

Population of kids aged 6-16 > populations of gamers aged 20-30 = Xbox wins even though PS should win hands down.

Absolutely. This is the reason why Xbox will win market-wise. They won't win the hearts of real gamers, but like you said I'd rather if all the little kids go play their Xbox one while I can go play some multiplayer on PSN without a kid screaming at the top of his lungs. I played CoD on my cousin's 360 and about 70% of every friggin game I played there was at least one little kid blasting some mainstream hip hop or some annoying dubstep (no disrespect but dubstep sounds so horrible if it's blasted on a bluetooth earpiece) screaming at me every time I killed him.

Exactly, which is why i couldn't care if M$ won this console war because it would completely benefit the Sony fanbase as most of us like to game in peace with real gamers who are at a stage where we like challenges and not having our ears bleeding and our brains hurting after each match because of annoying little foreign/american kids screaming every 2 seconds. So heres to Xbox winning! so that us Sony boys and girls can game in peace!
