the ends of the PS4 have the groove cutout , it can still pull air

so it DOES NOT block the vents without the stand while vertical

plus - vertical is way more cooling efficient , it really is just common sense to me

that the less of a area that is covered the more air breathing room it can have
and quicker it will disperse the over all case heat in general

I need to look at the stand , is it made with a vent or fan system within it ?

I found some old like foam padded sticky feet to give me clearance , it works + unnoticeable really.

I'm going to diy some rubber cubes to put in the corners to give it a little air space under Neath the ps4 just for a bit more ventilation

I was a vertical guy in my dorm since console and TV was on a dresser. But with my PS4 in my entertainment center I am now a horizontal guy. Although my PS3 is still vertical on the side of said entertainment center

Is there really any NEED for a vertical stand? The PS4 stands vertically quite firmly and will not fall without forced attempts. Also, how does standing it vertically with the stand prevents it from blocking the vents? I've seen videos and the stand COVERS entirely the vents on one side (Eg: ). Anyone thought the same?
