So, I go back to the PS3 to check to see if friends I add over the 100 friend mark show up on the PS3. They do. But, whenever I go to see my friend that is on the PS4, it shows him as last online 4 days ago. On the PS4 you can see your PS3 friends, but its almost like you're a ghost. You can see them but they can't see you.

Will there be a patch/update in the near future for PSN or the PS3?

Noticed this the other night when I added all my other accounts.

They probably will as the reason I believe this was left out is because there is no game out yet that currently able to connect the two players on two different system. You can still message each others but only limited to messages. In the future both console would probably get an update to be more capable with each other.

I guess there's quite a lot of problems with 2 consoles that run psn

What exactly do you mean by "limited?"

You can't send voice attachment as that only works with ps4 to ps4 I'm not sure about pictures as I've not sent one to my friends yet.

Don't they show up at the bottom of the friends list like they're loading? I'm sure mine does, it'll have a red status indicator like they're offline and the avatar will be a loading sign and the profile colour will be grey, just like it does when someone's on a ps vita?

same on vita, if on ps3 and your friend signed in on vita you cannot see him

they are at the bottom of your friends list, you can see when they are on it. read what i posted above your post.
