(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This is like a discussion/question here so I will explain what I've been experiencing the past few days.

Basically when I press a button on the controller I don't see it happen on screen till like 2 seconds later which you all know is really annoying and is a bad thing obviously. I decided to take matter into my own hands and opened my brand new controller fresh out the box and tested! Funny enough, same results...

After that I done a bit of googling which if you guys type in "PS4 controller input lag" you'll see loads of results but I didn't really find any real answers there. Next step was to initialize my console, this didn't help at al thou. I then gave Sony a call or PlayStation support whatever they are called nowadays and they told me my controller was bugging out, reset it with a pin. I progressed onto telling them that I tried a brand new controller but they didn't seem to acknowledge that.

Whole point of this is to ask you guys have you experienced this? If so, what happened? I'm lost and haven't a clue what to do now as Sony basically hung up on me twice with two support guys telling me my controller is broke!

The same thing happened to me... You need to set your T.V to GAMING MODE instead of the regular (mines dynamic mode). The graphics also change.

This is also a setting on my Vizio. When I do to the HDMI port that has my PS4/3 the mode auto switches to Gaming Mode. Doubt it has much to do with it, but probably does a little.

Monitors should have settings for gaming on them. I'd check the manual/settings for such before contacting Sony.

My PS4 lags period. I think they all lag. But what you're experiencing May be the controller or the PS4 sensory with the DS4. Sony will want to start off small, and try replacing your controller, so I'd suggest be consistent and tell them you have already bought another controller so you know it's not the DS4. They'll replace your system hassle free. The customer service there is outstanding but however! Be prepared to be without your system for roughly 2 weeks.

I'm really not prepared to be without it for 2 weeks. This is my second PS4 and the 1st one they replaced no worries but this one they want to take it away for repair.

Wonder what's changed with the way they work replacements here in the UK.

Unless you are using an Elgato, I never experienced this. Using an Elgato gives 2 second delays.

its your cables what happens is a cable can only hold so much and the ps4 has a large output while your tv or monitor has a small one therefore delaying the time it takes to match the output my suggestion would be to look for a cable capable of larger differences in op and ip so you can minimize the delay in the transfer process
