(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This is like a discussion/question here so I will explain what I've been experiencing the past few days.

Basically when I press a button on the controller I don't see it happen on screen till like 2 seconds later which you all know is really annoying and is a bad thing obviously. I decided to take matter into my own hands and opened my brand new controller fresh out the box and tested! Funny enough, same results...

After that I done a bit of googling which if you guys type in "PS4 controller input lag" you'll see loads of results but I didn't really find any real answers there. Next step was to initialize my console, this didn't help at al thou. I then gave Sony a call or PlayStation support whatever they are called nowadays and they told me my controller was bugging out, reset it with a pin. I progressed onto telling them that I tried a brand new controller but they didn't seem to acknowledge that.

Whole point of this is to ask you guys have you experienced this? If so, what happened? I'm lost and haven't a clue what to do now as Sony basically hung up on me twice with two support guys telling me my controller is broke!

Have you tried other consoles? If you don't get the same problem it's your PS4.

Monitors should have settings for gaming on them. I'd check the manual/settings for such before contacting Sony.

Gaming mode is bad, it reduces the graphics to only about 50% of what you should be getting, I don't recommend it if that's what you're using, try doing some research to get a tv with low latency they go for as low as $150 on Amazon, he has a low ms monitor, that can't be the problem.

I had same problem with my PS4, was just dropping randomly one day, I restarted PS4 and it didn't occur anymore though, you could try different things like changing HDMI settings on the PS4 itself as they're automatic and can have something your monitor may not support like full RBG colors and super white etc..., if that doesn't do anything then definitely return it.

take your tv off game mode or put it in game mode... somethign about the game mode may cause lag... depending on your tv.... check those settings first

does this happen only on games or is it lagging when navigating the xmb?

also do you own a tv that allows you to change the refresh rate? maybe you clicked a button on the remote and lowered the refresh rate of the tv?

probably wont be that but you never know.

It's a gaming 2ms monitor so I'm not sure if it does that. As for it happening on games only it seems that way. It's really hard to notice but it is noticeable when you concentrate on it. Also because I know it's there is the reason I can notice it all the time now.

I'll give them another call tomorrow and see what they say but I'm not willing to have them take it away for 2/3 weeks as they said just to test it out and then they could simply just send me the same system back. They have changed the way they do thing now they used to do over the door exchanges here in the UK so I don't see what's changed.

If anyone is interested in the outcome of this I will update it after my conversation tomorrow with PS Support.

I know! I've not had the chance to try it on another one. I'll see if I can try my friends one but I'm for certain something is up.
