I had problems getting mine setup but now I have got it working I will go through this tutorial that shall hopefully help you out.

Requirements
- Kmeaw's Custom Firmware
- GTA IV Retail
- multiman Backup Manager

Steps

1. Install Kmeaw's firmware onto your PS3

2. Install the Multiman Manager

3. Backup your GTA IV inside multiman Manager, make sure you have at least 15GB of Disk Space

4. Once completed open Blackb0x ftp Server

5. Open Filezilla and go to dev_hdd0/GAMEZ/

6. There should be a folder in there, open that then PS3_HOME

7. Then USERID

8. Now copy the mods (common.rpf) into that folder, it should overwrite.

9. Restart your PS3 and start MultiMan Manager

10. Press L2 and go down to GTA IV

11. Press X and it should start successfully.

NOTE : DONT UPDATE IT AND WHEN U PRESS LOAD ON MULTIMAN DONT USE AUTO LAUNCH AND BEFORE START GAME GO TO NETWORK SETTINGS AND THEN DISABLE NETWORK CONNECTIONS FOR THEM TO WORK!

On 70% of copying it to my HDD or USB it gets stuck on 70%... why?

HDD its not the same as USB.

Deleting patch means no trophies

i know this but that doesnt answer my question as to why it gets stuck on 70% i posted it for an answer not for something i already know.

ok u need to deleted everything b4 doing this.... LIKE EVERYTHING i knwo i knwo it will deleted all ur saving thats why u supposed to coppy them to ur USB device.. or just do it in other accnt. BTW when I said everthing I mean everything including DLC pack.
