Post: Xbox Live and Virgin Media

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey,

I moved from Sky broadband to Virgin broadband last week and I've noticed that XBL connections are really bad, XBL disconnects me a lot of times through the day and online games are unplayable.

I have Virgin 30meg and the Superhub router. My PS3 and laptops work fine but just not Xbox Live.

I get lagged out of every MW2 and Black Ops game where as I have 4 bars on PS3 95% of the time.

Anyone else experience this?

At least I can fight
I can't say that I have been experiencing similar problems. I don't think it's Xbox Live, as mine seems to be working fine.

Do you have the Superhub?
My friends have Virgin 20meg and they can play fine but me with 30meg and Superhub have problems.

3 months later and still no solution. I reset the Xbox 360 settings and MW2 started to work ok with 3-4 bars depending on host but Black Ops was absolutely unplayable, 1 bar on 17 games from Team Deathmatch to SnD I joined. Left and gave up.

Yeh when I phoned, this Irish guy said the Superhub has problems but when I phoned today, the scouser guy said he has 30MB with Superhub and Xbox Live and he's had no problems :S

I ring up MS Xbox, they blame Virgin, I ring up Virgin, they blame MS as my laptops and PS3 work fine so the 360 is faulty :S

Can I ask how have you connected your Xbox 360? I had it with Wifi but today I connected it through Ethernet and it's working fine.

My PS3 and laptops are all fine, just the Xbox 360, SuperHub and WiFi is causing problems.
