( i think it is since i took tht 1 out and no red rings came out ) . So what do i do now ? buy a new AV cable or do i take it apart and do summit with the chip or send it to microsoft :O ???

can any1 post a guide on wat the diferent amounts of red lights mean? would be appreciated

when i had 1 ring it was cuased from a power surge the fliped the breaker in my 360 power supply

disconect all the cables from it and unhook it from the 360 reconnect everthing and see if it fixes it for u

one way to tell is look at it there should be a light it should be green (when the 360 is powered on)if it is orange this is most likely the cause

I just got the same thing today :mad::mad:
But i read online and everything says one, flashing quadrant with an E74 error message is not a problem with the xBox, but rather with the AV (Audio/Video) cable.
I filed a report at xBox support kus my xBox is under warranty for 9 more days (talk about cutting it close to the deadline) i was all ready to ship it to microsoft when i found out about the whole AV cable business. now suddenly i plug it back in just to be sure it really is f'ed up and in need of a fix and it boots up perfectly!!!!!
I turned it off and turned it back on again (before i filed the report) to be sure that i was broken and it consistently displayed the message.
now, many hours later is randomly works again.
Try plugging it in again, if it still doesnt work, send it away.

Oh wow, 1 red ring is nothing. You don't have to send it anywhere or buy anything!!
I got the dredded ring, and all I did was

1) Take out your hard drive.
2) Unplug the console's power.
3) Put both the plug and HDD back in.
4) Start up a game and download the update it offers!

Fixed 5 mins!!
