I only need it for games just playing online and that and any help would be appreciated. I alredy own a ps3 as well so this is just for light playing not abuse like i do on my ps3.

i'd just get the 4gb version of the slim. its cheap and if you decide to upgrade at a later time you can.

If your not gonna spend much time on the xbox, get a preowned elite or something.
OR
Get a 4GB slim, then upgrade the HDD, i got an old 20GB HDD then installed it.

Easy =D

i have both an xbox and a ps3 and i must admit to playing my ps3 for 99.9% of the time its difficult to time share when you have other commitments. my xbox currently has the prime position of being the door stop between the hall and the front room, an expensive door stop i know but none the less it does the job lol

i would go down the route of getting a elite or a non 4gb version as that is just too small to run even halo reach let alone lots of games, dlc and other bits and bobs i know there easy to upgrade but not as easy as they once were click a button remove drive and put a bigger one on.

i bought an arcade version now obsolete but that came with a memory card and then i just purchased a big hd to comfortably suit my needs

its personal preferance and i only use mine for exclusive titles like gears and even then i get on very rarely, its worth considering if you will actually fully utilise both as in reality its not always the easiest thing to do

well it states 4gb but that is minus the items it has on there to opperate so your probably get about 3gb all in all to use, should be fine if your only using it for small amounts of stuff before upgrade.

a word of warning the 4gb version will not run halo reach unless they fixed it since release as there was a massive cock up in the pre packaged one lol

The halo cock up was a pre packaged deal 4gb console with halo reach bundle put together by Microsoft but unfortunately on release the 4 gb model could not run halo reach due to space constraints and horrendous slow down

Anyway an Xbox is a fun toy to have enjoy ur end up doing as I do though everyone I k ow has done and they neglect one for the other

The Xbox pads are massive and weighty compared to your ps3 one so what you may want to do is get a converter so you can use your ps3 controller on the Xbox will have to be a wired version but worth the 5 pound investment
