However, recently I've been thinking of getting an XBOX to play halo with my friends and experience the "amazing" features of the 360. I just would like to know, is it really worth the money? Will it break in half a year?

I usually take pretty good care of my consoles and I don't want to waste $300.

I got a 360 two years ago for Christmas, and it only has about 10 hours of actual play time. Despite the hype you may hear from the bandwagoners, there isn't too much of a difference between the two.

I'd say its worth it. And when I say that, I don't mean that the 360 is vastly superior to the PS3, but
its fun to play different games on the 360 I'd recommend getting the 4GB one. Its cheap and works fine,
and in case you ever decide you don't like you wont lose too much money if you trade it in or sell it. And
if you do like it, you can always just buy another HDD off of ebay or something

You want to buy a whole console purely to play halo? Like its a good game don't get me wrong but unless you plan on using the console for more than one game franchise it wouldnt be worth it. Xbox has a better online gaming experience than PS3. I have both consoles but these days I mostly only use the PS3 as a media centre. Have you seen the prices of Bluray players??!!!! And to be fair, xbox consoles are cheap as chips. My advice to you. Keep both consoles, cant have any regrets that way. Then down the track if you find you dont really use one or the other, well thats why we have ebay lol

well in my opinion i think its worth it but here is the exclusive specs that i can name (off of the top of my head, i may be missing a few) (not like the ram and stuff) of both xbox and ps3

as you can see xbox has a few more exclusive items than ps3. and if you are worried about the red rings of death get the new kind of xbox i have owned it for a year and i have not got the rrods.
but another thing to always remember is that people have been saying a new console is suppose to be coming out in like 2 years i belive so just keep that in mind.

-more people play xbox - almost everyone is in a party chat and you can't talk with em though... but I guess you connect to games quicker?? idk...

Hell yea ps3 pretty kool and shit, but if you want more competition go for Xbox it's way better,servers are good and Mircosoft on top of their game!

if it just for halo not worth it .... i got my xbox 360 abt 2weeks ago..... ihave beena ps3 gamers 2 years now .. but the xbox360 was a great deal on walmart.... a 4 gig with 2 control MW3 and 3 months live $250 but u cant buy the 4 gig if you going to play halo since most of the space is used up and you only have like 1gig remain
