However, recently I've been thinking of getting an XBOX to play halo with my friends and experience the "amazing" features of the 360. I just would like to know, is it really worth the money? Will it break in half a year?

I usually take pretty good care of my consoles and I don't want to waste $300.

Well, I have both PS3 and Xbox. They are both great systems and both have their ups and downs. If you only plan to play halo, then go for it, but thats kind of stupid buying a system for only one specific game. The online perks of XBL are better than PS3(obviously, because Microsoft gets money for buying XBL memberships), you have Party Chat, Private Chat, Video Chat, Kinect Video Chat, Avatars, Avatar Awards, etc. Where as PS3 has almost none of that. If you plan to just play halo get a 20GB hard drive, the guy whom said he got a 4GB didn't count MAP packs and gamesaves etc. But if you do get the xbox, get intercooler for it as that will allow you to play 16+ hours without your xbox over-heating. Yep. 100% worth it. I just switch to Xbox 360 after having a Ps3 ever since release date. Just had it with ps3 and its lack of features, so I bought an xbox. Such a smart move. It has so many great and awesome features. The party chat has to be one of my favorites, not including all the apps (Youtube, HBO GO, Facebook). It's only $60 a year for live which isn't bad at all. After all, you get what you pay for. And that's why Ps3 features aren't good, because it's free lol

Worth it. But not because of Halo. Alan Wake and Splinter Cell Conviction were the games that persuaded me to buy it at the time.

I think you should wait for next generation consoles, if you really want to buy an xbox 360 then get a cheap one or used one, because it's not worth at this time to waste much money for a new one. I had my xbox which has now 4 years, i had it flashed and it always worked perfectly, never had problems with "red lights" or whatsoever.

if you play a lot online, will be ok to buy xbox360.

The online experiance is so much better than Ps3,IMO.
