Changing your Xbox Live Gamertag costs 800MS points (you could buy a map pack or an arcade game for that)! but here's how to do it for free!

1. Ask some people to file a complaint against your Gamertag. You can do this by going to File Complaint - Profile - Offensive Gamertag.
2. Wait a while and Xbox will make you change your Gamertag, free of charge!

my friend had to change his twice they banned him untill he did but they let him do it for free. he got banned for xkidi fiddlerx and x rent boy x lol idiot lol

Yeah their suspending people like crazy for moto's and gamertags some of them very stupid you can see all the people who get banned on xbox.com that go an complain and they get told why. I wouldn't recommend doing this anymore that's my opinion. Seems like people get suspended once than again automatically for a longer term after the first suspension is up.

I've done this recently and was able to change my tag for free. So yes it still works and no it's not patched. Good info.

It does work, I have had it happen to me multiple times when people file complaint me for no reason.
