According to a new report Microsoft is preparing a special version of its Internet Explorer web browser for Xbox 360. The Verge reports that the platform holder will bring full web browsing support to the console with a custom version of IE or so they were told by inside sources at Microsoft.

The browser is reportedly also said to be 'tuned' especially for Kinect, and although it'll also work with just a controller, it will offer voice control and hands-free operation to those with the all-seeing camera bar. All I can say is FINALLY, we have been waiting a long time on xbox for a browser and I am ready to see how it performs, any thoughts?

Sweet. This is always one of the things I've wanted for the 360 since the PS3 browser was never very good. Hopefully this one will be more usable.

Ah browsers on consoles will never be great. I can imagine the xbox browser will not support a lot of video types just like ps3..Cant beat the browser on the computer I hate the browser on the ps3 if you look at it funny it freezes

think the ps3 browser is based off firefox source code tho
