(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});If Michael Pachter pins this forecast of his right, then we just might see an Xbox Live costing US$ 100 per year for Gold membership in the next couple of years.
In a video discussion at GTTV, Pachter gave out his bold prediction/ opinion/ analysis:
You can't hook a guy into Xbox Live Gold if he's playing on a PC... that's the other problem - you really want to hook every gamer who has a 360, you want them to buy all their games on 360, play everything multiplayer, pay your 50 bucks a year so that, in a couple of years, it's a 100 bucks a year. And that's going up, we all know that.. it's a profit deal.
Will you be signing up still if it does balloon to a hundred bucks?

let's also keep in mind this is just an analysts prediction. after november xbox has already started to lose a share of sales to the ps3 so the same guy is predicting another 360 price drop. i dont see how he can reasonably predict both that would just be microsoft putting its own foot in its mouth - hey buy our xbox cheaper but pay more for live...makes no sense to me
