(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have found the answer to why a lot of people are getting the 3 red rings and having to send their Xbox 360 in!!!!!!!!

I went to Gamestop just looking around today 11/14/09 and I told the guy that I bought MW2 and that my MW2 was freezing at 1:30 am, so I let my Xbox rest for the night thinking it would be fine in the morning, but it wasn't. It kept freezing and finally I got the 3 red rings.

He said the soder in the Xbox melts and screws up the motherboard. He also said that Microsoft knew this was going to be a problem(modern warfare 2 overheating and melting). They have tried to fix it, but they could not get it to.

Gamestop had a brand new Xbox 360 Elite right out of the box get the 3 red rings from MW2.

I recommend not playing it for more than maybe 8 hours or you may have this problem.

DO NOT TRY TO FIX THIS YOURSELF IT IS IMPOSSIBLE! DO NOT TAKE IT APART IT COULD ERASE YOUR WARRANTY FOREVER!

Please rep me if this has helped Smile

8 hours straight? Probably never going to happen, so no worries for me.

Who’s Jim Erased?
Playing any game for more than 8 hours straight will probably give you the RROD, not just MW2.

Do a barrel roll!
Playing over 3 hours is going to mess your Xbox up. You need to take breaks as it is, not good for you

As Ballin As Possible
I have had my Xbox 360 on for over 30 hours without anything happening to it, and it's still working just fine after 2-3 years.
