Pre-ordering Infinite Warfare Grants Access to a Remade Modern Warfare 2 Map

One of the most beloved maps of Modern Warfare 2 will be transformed in Infinity Warfare's upcoming Call of Duty title.

While Infinite Warfare has been riddled with bad press since it's reveal back in early May, fans of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series can rejoice in a recent announcement by the game's developer, Infinity Ward, that it will feature a remake of the beloved Modern Warfare 2 and 3 map, Terminal.

While speaking at the San Diego Comic-Con event, the team of developers noted that the map would be available to those in which pre-ordered the game on PC, PS4, or Xbox One. We've seen a similar approach used before when last year Treyarch baited it's remake of the Black Ops 1 and 2 map NUK3TOWN for those in which pre-ordered the game.

The actual details of the map are limited, although a concept image released can be seen below.

The image shows many of the similarities to the original Terminal map, while also giving view to a few of the things that have changed, such as the airplane being replaced with a space shuttle.

In addition to the Terminal remake, if you are pre-ordering the Legacy Edition of the game, you will also receive access to Modern Warfare Remastered, which is a separate entity of Infinite Warfare which features ten multiplayer maps from the original game. The Legacy Edition runs $80 compared to the original $60 for the game without the Modern Warfare expansion. A Legacy Pro Edition can also be purchased for $120 which includes Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered, and Infinite Warfare's season pass.

Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered are set to release on November 4th, 2016.
