Pokemon Go Developers to Respect Real-World Locations

Pokemon Go gyms and stops are everywhere, however some of these places are not happy with the attention from the placement, especially places like the Hiroshima Peace Memorial or the Holocaust Museum...

Pokemon Go has been taking the world by storm, allowing players to meet more people, get out more, and draw attention to more places in the world. Unfortunately, some of these places are not appropriate for placement for things like PokeStops and gyms. One of these PokeStops turned out to be placed at the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC.{br}{br}

While players can report issues with placement for PokeStops and such, it's mostly if they present a physical danger, such as train tracks. While some of these locations have been removed, such as the Holocaust Museum, others are still running today.

While many issues need to be addressed with the game, this one seems to be pretty important in terms of how the game is viewed. A developer named Smith however, has commented on the issue stating how they will "fine-tune" the game to respect private institutions.{br}{br}

{quote}"For us, we're making sure the play experience is done right ... Initially, there was some server overload, which we've worked on. Now, we're looking at features in the game and how to fine-tune them so that it's appealing to the fans but also respectful of the private institutions that are affected by it."{/quote}
