Niantic puts an end to Pokévision

Niantic just updated Pokémon Go, removing their tracking system, and killing off the only site with a working tracker.

The day the world went dark.

So, sometime last week Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke said that certain services that helped Pokémon Go players locate Pokemon within the game would be shut down, and it seems he held to that comment.

Last night, Saturday 30th, July 2016, one of the most popular tracking services {url=https://pokevision.com}Pokévision went dark, with nothing but a notice saying the service was currently unavailable. Which happened moments after version 0.31.0 of the game was released.

When asked over the phone if the site would be returning, co-founder of Pokévision Yang Liu responded with "Not likely." He declined to comment on if Niantic had threatened legal action.

According to twitter user {url=https://twitter.com/TeamMysticNton}@TeamMysticNton, Pokevision received a Cease and Desist order from Niantic, meaning it's unlikely the service will be returning.
