Step 1. Update to the 3.1.3 firmware if needed.
Step 2. Download Spirit.
Step 3. Plug in iPod.
Step 4. Double click spirit.
Step 5. Press jailbreak.

1. Right Click on Spirit
2. Click properties

3. Click Compatibility

4. Run this program in compatibility mode CHOOSE windows 95

Now since you fixed that just press jailbreak agin.

I got a ipod touch 3.1.2 jailbroke by blackra1n .. how would I jailbreak using spirit so it could be untethered..?

When you plug your ipod in to jailbreak it, does it haveto be off, on or does it matter?

Just have to update to 3.1.3. then just jailbreak with Spirit

Leave it on.

You should update your guide, the new version of spirit fix the windows 7 issue, and the issue of deleting all photos after jailbreak.

Ok ill check out the new update. But might leave it the same. Because if someone might get that error.
