If you know how to upgrade to 4.0, then just go to jailbreakme.com on the iPhone and the rest is simples

No i have no clue how to updrade .. since apple started with the verifying FW Shizz.. So any info about that would be great

Erm, basically, get the 4.0 IPSW for the relevant device, then Shift Click restore and select the IPSW file, hopefully it'll update and start and shiz, if not you'll have to add something to your hosts file (I found two slightly different things I'm assuming they're different servers, sorry you'll have to google these as I can't remember them off the top of my head). Then if it updates then you get error 1004 or something around that, use "tinyumbrella" to kick the device out of recovery mode, and hopefully it will have updated.

just visited jailbreakme.com on my iPod. It supports 4.0.1/3.2.1. So it doesnt support 4.0

So I guess everything below 4.0.1 is Jailbreakable with it then?
