Okay so i how woudl i go about doing this? Would i convert to 4.0 then unlock so i can access the browser then just visit jailbreakme.com?

My 2G iTouch is 4.0 or higher, can't remember but it is possible.

Well i read that since the IPHONE 2g has lower ram it isnt able to run most of the features but i see a 3.1.3 mod that is just like 4.0? I am talking about an iPhone not an iPod

And actually it is a mod on 3.3.2

You can get a program called tinyumbrella(check google) to save your shsh, which is like a signature that apple needs to downgrade the firmware. And when you save those shsh files onto your computer, you should be able to downgrade by just going to iTunes and clicking shift + restore. If you want I can help you when I get home(I'm on my iPhone at school ) lol

Yeah the iPod touch can go to 4.0, but the 2g iPhone can't.. I'm not sure why that is
