There's so much great info on jailbreaking iPhone on NGU and I was wondering if there's any information on how I can unlock my iphone 4.

Is it possible to downgrade an iphone 4 if you have the firmware image for 4.0.1?

No, you need the SHSH blobs

Darn, that's what I thought. Do you happen to know if you need the SHSH blobs if you're trying to downgrade a 3GS that's running on higher than 4.1?
