Post: iPod touch 2nd Gen - White Screen
08-05-2011, 05:37 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok so my iPod was fine one night, left it for a couple of hours and then went to use it. I pushed the home button but nothing would appear on screen - a black screen if you like. After fiddling about with it I realised that the battery WASN'T dead as it was still making sounds i.e locking unlocking. A couple of days later, I pushed the home button once again and this time it was a white screen. Yeah, does anyone know how to fix this?

Is it on the latest firmware(4.2.1)? If not try to updating it,If that doesn´t work download redsn0w and select the option "Just enter Pwnd Mode right now" instead of "Install Cydia" and just follow the instruccions , after that restore it or update it

I'm sure it is the latest firmware, if not the one below. I'll try the redsn0w idea mate, and get back to you Smile

Just tried this, never worked mate :( Restored the iPod, currently verifying the restore, but the iPod screen is still white. I assume that something inside the iPod is knackered?
