I pushed the home button but nothing would appear on screen - a black screen if you like. After fiddling about with it I realised that the battery WASN'T dead as it was still making sounds i.e locking unlocking. A couple of days later, I pushed the home button once again and this time it was a white screen. Yeah, does anyone know how to fix this?

try holding down the home and power button at the top hold both down until you see the apple sign or try youtube for ipod
