After 1.08
From what I have learned you do the glitch the same as before but as soon as you get in the lobby go to player channel.
(If you freeze that is how they tried to patch it. You have to go to player channel faster.)
1. Get friend to load random game in custom game.(He Stays in the lobby)
2. Hover over public match.
3. Hit Triangle and Square to join his session
4. Spam X.
5. Your friend leaves as soon as you join.
6. Should be in a custom game and say waiting for more players.
7. Invite people and have fun :>
Confirmed by me.
For your friends to be able to stay BOTH people must have the same game mode loaded
(person in custom games and the person doing the glitch must load the same game)
If your getting kicked every time I think it is because of connection speed.
Try and get a friend with good connection to do it.
Also the person/people who are going to join must join your friend who in custom game and then back out and wait for you to invite them.
That will fix them for getting kicked.

I've tried it 10x today and didn't work but it takes two people with good timing and I am only one. And my buddy that was helping is gone for the week. I do find it strange that they said nothing about it in the list of what 1.08 patched on the PS3.
Also it would boot me back to the main menu before, if the timing was off. Or i Pressed X too fast
