1.Get on Cod 4.
2.When first patch comes up hit O. Skip all the intros and what not.
3.Go to Multiplayer.
4.Then go to Play Online.
5.When you click play online it will bring up a sign in thing, sign in.
6.After you sign in it will ask you to download the patch, hit O.
7.Then click ps3 button and sign in from the XMB.
8.It will ask you again to download but you should already be signed and able to play.

There you gooo. **IF YOU DONT GET IT FIRST TRY REPEAT STEPS 4-7.

It has not worked for me, and I have a 60GB PS3. I tried 6 times, then gave up.

you timed yr connection out i think. that just happend to me too. i unpluged my router and pluged it back in and then just tried it again and it worked.
