1.Get on Cod 4.
2.When first patch comes up hit O. Skip all the intros and what not.
3.Go to Multiplayer.
4.Then go to Play Online.
5.When you click play online it will bring up a sign in thing, sign in.
6.After you sign in it will ask you to download the patch, hit O.
7.Then click ps3 button and sign in from the XMB.
8.It will ask you again to download but you should already be signed and able to play.

There you gooo. **IF YOU DONT GET IT FIRST TRY REPEAT STEPS 4-7.

it works guys i will post a video when i get the time. when you get the parental restrictions thing it just takes a bit longer. like 5 more trys. just keep switching play online and sign in thorugh XMB. It works.

Sorta worked for me but it says downloading game settings and I can't sign out?

For this to work, make sure when it first fails (not on the xmb) you have Activision MatchMaking error 33..

Thats what I got?..

I can tell for sure this works since i did it and it took me 5 minutes. If you get parental control thing just keep signing in via the XMB that's what i did and i got in easily.

ALTHOUGH. My TV blew from signing in and out xD.

LMAO How old is your TV?

It's pretty old. I've had chances to get LCD/HD tv's but i hate the graphics on them. So i stick to them old TV's which aren't made no more. It's a TV and doesn't have either HD/LCD/PLASMA/SD not even sure what type of TV it is.
