1.Get on Cod 4.
2.When first patch comes up hit O. Skip all the intros and what not.
3.Go to Multiplayer.
4.Then go to Play Online.
5.When you click play online it will bring up a sign in thing, sign in.
6.After you sign in it will ask you to download the patch, hit O.
7.Then click ps3 button and sign in from the XMB.
8.It will ask you again to download but you should already be signed and able to play.

There you gooo. **IF YOU DONT GET IT FIRST TRY REPEAT STEPS 4-7.

faraz, XMB means X-cross Media Bar.
When you start your playstation up or press the PS Button thats the XMB.

I can bypass all the time with this method

I might be a noob asking this but whats XMB

It seemed like it worked but when I get into the lobby it either shows downloading settings for a minutes then exits out saying the online services and parental controls error then I do it again and i get into the lobby with no download settings message and my custom clan tag so I know its sort of working except it'll kick me out again like 5 seconds later with the same message.

XMB is the x cross mediabar thats when you turn your ps3 on or when you hit the ps3 button.
