I know there are some people on to first, second, third, even fourth prestige, but is anyone else having trouble getting used to the game? I jumped straight into multiplayer the first day thinking "Its COD, I know I'll do well" but I was badly mistaken. I got into about 7 or 8 different lobbies before i got into a match. I just chalked this up to the servers getting used to the new user load, but after I got in a match, I was horrible. I have only played one game so far where I have gone positive in terms of k/d. I took a break for a few days and figured I'd let the servers work themselves out and see if the amount of lag spikes go down. I got on to play yesterday and still no change. Laggy as ever. I honestly thought it was just me being bad after a long weekend (my high school went to semi-state and it was a 3 hour ride down there and back. I also went to the Notre Dame game this weekend), so i decided to play some Battlefield to see if I just had lost my edge after a long weekend. The first few games I played I had over a 3 k/d ratio and only one below a 2. (1.6 k/d) Unless they manage to fix the lag that black ops 2 is plagued with, I won't be seeing much multiplayer. I don't play ranked matches anymore trying to save my k/d. So after this long rant/complaining/bitching I do have a question.
Has anyone else not been able to do well since the game came out, or is it just me? If you haven't been doing well, what is your reason? If you have been doing well, have you noticed any problems and found a way around em, or have any tips for someone who usually avgs a 1.68 k/d getting a .68 consecutively?

Yeah I almost think it's lag. Let's face it most COD players are not that good. Not talking about perks, guns, camping, rushing. Just straight up gun to gun engagements. So the fact that you can shoot a guy first, right on target and he finish you off is BS. Also the getting shot around the corner BS still happens. Basically if you're getting shot at it's better to not try to run or go to cover because you leave the enemy's view 0.33 seconds after you think you did.

So it's almost like even though you think you shot the guy first in close range you didn't start to register damage until .33 seconds after you though you did.

I'll be honest first few games I was doing great. However I came across people playing in full partys so my wins and k.d ratio dropped. If your playing solo you won't do any good so its usually best to play in partys then you will notice an improvement.

BINGO! This is starting to become the most important thing to COD success. You can improve kd playing alone sometimes but if you want to win, be competitive and actually enjoy the game instead of being frustrating playing in parties is the only way.

This section seems to keep talking about these mysterious "killwhores" but when I play solo the only people I get on my team are Die whores. You can't trust green guys to play objectives, get kills, stop campers, or do anything but die. Not to mention splitscreen players DRAMATICALLY hurt your chances.

Hopping onto a new cod is all about how you adapt.

There's always a change from IW games to 3Arc games due to map layouts, guns etc It take time to adapt to how the community seem to play.

Black Ops - Corner Camping
MW3 - Drop Shotting / Jump Shotting
Black Ops 2 - Head glitching

Thats just my personal view of what i have seen more of on each game but their is always a way to overcome them. 1v1's atm are just based on connection and luck so just bare with it. Learn the maps, learn the guns thats right for you and your playstyle. Dont bother with your k/d as you can reset your stats anyway i presume

Exactly trust nobody play with the people you know because they can watch your back.

So I am guessing just b/c you have 4 bars, doesn't mean you have perfect connection and are still prone to lag? B/c even in MW3, I always had 3 bars, and the lag compensation in that game was bad, yet my k/d is 2.25 in that game.

omg i know exactly what you are talking about. my kd had dropped from 1.45 down to 1.22 due to the amount of lag and cheap 'head glitching' kills. also every time you spawn you get killed by a hunter killer drone or a lightning strike. wish they could fix this game fast.

Um even if I wanted to sweat over my K/D that is my choice. As long as my K/D is positive idc about it. Problem is, it's negative. Also I guess I shoulda mentioned this, I'm on ps3 bro.

EDIT: Good to know there are some people who aren't doing as well. To those of you that are, keep it up. I know I'll get the hang of the game in time, and when I do, I'm coming after you. :evil:

When I first played u went like 38-7 then second game I sucked, of u play team objective games your team is sometimes a major reason u die a lot by not helping get flags, failing to defend them an what not, but I think the major issue with this game is the bullets needed to take down people it's totally different from mw3 as it takes a hell of a lot more bullets an the hit detection on the game I feel is way off, but all in all I like the game I've kept a 1.5 k/d ratio since I've started but it's taken a long time to get use to the guns an what they can an cant do, cause before the game was launched I based my class off what everyone was saying were great guns which when I used they weren't as good as people made them out to be (MSMC) but after now a good 5-6 days of playing with skorpion evo I now know what my gun can an cant do as the range on it blows lol so I just flank till I get up close an personal with them an with the guns fire rate 9-10 I will win , but for people who worry about there stays once u get ghost u will be fine as people really pay way to much attention of the map
